Heather's Hits 2017
In 2017, Splash Montaña recorded her first complete collection of songs. She spent 3 years living and playing these songs. As stories unfolded with Time, lyrics continued to develop and she continued to get a bit better with her instrument and vocal. Along came a new fan with the “will” to share…
Only 10 years past since Splash began roaming, exploring, scared, excited and alone in the world of a “beginner musician.” The desire to share was compelling from the beginning but the fear of “sounding like garbage” was nearly all it took to keep her messages and performances unheard. And so it would be years before Splash decided to share.
It was the late and great Willy Williams- friend, fan, and professional music producer- who believed in her artistry and decided to help her see a new dream come to life. Her amateur guitar and vocals did not sway him from encouraging her to “jam on!” In fact, he empowered her to share the raw and untrained live performances that you will hear in H’s H’s, 2017. It would still be another 7 years and 100s of songs before Splash received her first professional vocal and guitar lesson. Splash plans to collect her growth and hopes to find herself in “the” studio again, soon. She wants to continue to build and develop her authentic perspective and to maximize the jam.
“I wish I had another opportunity to work with Willy Williams. It’s proly what has kept me from the studio for so long. Its a special dance. He gave me many moment$ of tHeArt of Time and I gave him a lil Splash of blue cheez . Either way, I’m finally doing what he always told me I should do. I’m helping to build a scene in which I want to be seen in. Sharing tHeArt is scary and liberating but like Willy said Bob said, I gotta keep a part for myself. Thanks Willy. I’ll always be a fan of yours, too. Rest in your Peace** of the Whole. Amen”
